Disclaimer : By learning how to do my own gel manicure at home, I'm not boycotting my favorite nail girls - nothing beats a proper, in-salon manicure BUT I love having this new skill and the option to still be able to have my personal style in check. (My style = short, coloured (black) nails which perfectly finish off every outfit).

I've curated a small collection of affordable essentials for you to purchase, to enable you to do your own gel mani's at home too.

What you need to buy:

a UVLED lamp,

gel base coat,

one of my favorite colours for this Winter season,

a shiny or matte top coat,

lint free wipes &

gel wipe solution/ sterrilizer spray.

How to do it:

File your nails to a pretty feminine oval shape & very lightly buff

Remove any oil with a wipe & sterilizer spray/ gel wipe solution

Apply base coat// cure for 60 to 90 seconds

Apply a thin layer of gel colour// cure for 60 to 90 seconds

Apply a second layer of gel colour// cure for 60 to 90 seconds

Apply top coat// cure for 90 seconds

Remove residue with a wipe & sterlizer spray/ gel wipe solution

Apply cuticle oil. I use @memebodyproducts
